Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports

PCAS (https://www.centeronline.com/) has been a leader in providing adapted sports to
persons with disabilities. The athletes derive all the benefits of sport participation,
including better health, improved self-esteem, dynamic social interactions and, most
importantly, being a team member and active in their community. Warrington Rotary has partnered with PCAS for the following causes.
  • Yearly since 2005 - Sponsorship of youth ski camp
  • 2016 - Donation of double skull (partly funded by a district grant)
  • 2018 - Donation of a monoski (partly funded by a district grant)
  • 2019 - Construction of a boatyard access ramp

War Memorial

Rotary International celebrated its centennial year in 2004-2005. Each club around the globe took on a project that would be a permanent tribute and asset within their communities. Warrington Rotarians designed and built a new War Memorial in Igoe Porter Wellings Park, home of the existing memorial named in honor of three local servicemembers who died in battle. We continually add names of service persons to the memorial wall. Lion’s Pride Park is the current name of the park.

The foundation focuses on improving the lives of underprivileged children through gifts to hospitalized children, assistance to families in need and to schoolteachers in underprivileged school districts. Bucks County proclaimed November 19th, Abby’s birthday, as Random Acts of Kindness Day. Warrington Rotary has sponsored this foundation previously.
